Beekeeping Experience Day
Join us for our fantastic Beekeeping Workshops, where you will learn the fascinating art of beekeeping in the beautiful surroundings of Carlton Towers. Perfect for beginners and nature lovers alike, these hands-on half day sessions offer expert guidance, insight into hive life, and a closer connection to the natural world. Lead by the very knowledgeable apiarist Cristina from MI Honey.
Make your way to our Stables Tearoom, where Cristina will offer an introduction over light refreshments. A short stroll will then take you to our beehives on the parkland for a hands-on interactive demonstration with the bees. Afterwards make you way back to our Old Servant’s Quarters in the Cooks Kitchen for a delicious light lunch platters with refreshments.

Sessions: Elf Rocket Adventure at 10:30am (Ages 2-6) and Bow & Arrow Adventure at 1:30pm (Ages 7-11).
Each session is 90 minutes long and ends with hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows by a crackling campfire.

The house has been passed down entirely by inheritance and this is the perfect opportunity to find out about the fascinating family history that’s right on your door step.

Open House events are back at Carlton Towers! Here we open the doors for guests to roam freely and take in the wonders of the house at your leisure - Upstairs, downstairs and some rooms in between.
Step back in time on a self-guided tour of this wonderful stately home. A family seat since 1614, the Yorkshire manor can be dated back to the Domesday Book of 1086. The house has been passed down entirely by inheritance and this is the perfect opportunity to find out about the fascinating family history that’s right on your door step.

Beginner Terrarium Workshop
Set in the idyllic Cooks Kitchen of Carlton Towers, this half day experience is a fantastic way to try a new craft!
You will create your own bespoke self-sustaining eco-system alongside a duo of Terrarium experts who have been creating and selling all things Terrarium since 2018. Everything will be provided, from the hand mixed high quality specialist terrarium substrate all the way up to the hand-blown glass made from 100% recycled glass.
You'll be taken step by step through the creation process of your eco-system at a pace suited for all skill levels, with the hosts ready to explain how it all works and answer any questions as you progress.

Carlton After Dark: Halloween Ball
Join us for an evening of gothic glamour and exquisite dining within one of Yorkshire's most breath taking stately homes.
A roaring open fire will welcome you, before making your way through our opulent state rooms. Taking your seats, you will then be served a delicious themed three-course dinner, prepared by our talented chefs. Finally, dance the night away in the Card Room with our DJ until midnight.
Guests are encouraged to dress in theme, as there will be a prize for the Best Dressed guest of the evening.

This full day experience is suitable for beginners and a great introduction to the art of Willow Weaving.
“During this workshop you will make a willow deer that is approximately 80cm to the top of the antlers and 127cm to the top of the head. You will learn the basics of random weave and creating sculpture with willow without a metal frame. This workshop is suitable for people looking to have a go at willow sculpture or to improve their skills.”

Carlton Towers are attending The Great Yorkshire Wine & Fizz Festival 2026 at Yorkshire Heart Vineyard.
Celebrating regional wine and winemakers, the festival showcases a variety of fantastic vineyards including - Yorkshire Heart, Laurel Vines, Ryedale Vineyard, Malton Vineyard, Knotfield Vineyard, Farthings and Carlton Towers.
This is the thrid year that the festival is being held, returning to Yorkshire Heart vineyard.
