Carlton Towers Appoints New Estate Director

Carlton Towers, one of Yorkshire’s leading weddings, corporate and community events and private hire venues, has appointed Mark Bright as Estate Director.

The former Managing Director of Wiston Estate, in West Sussex, Mark will be responsible for the day to day running of the 250-acre estate, including the Vineyard, the regenerative farm and Gothic revival stately home. He was previously Operations Director of Daylesford Organic.

Mark Bright’s new role will encompass securing the long-term commercial, social, and environmental sustainability of the Carlton Towers estate, home of Lord and Lady Fitzalan Howard.

His vision and wealth of experience will be invaluable as we continue to develop the estate and share the rich assets of Carlton Towers with our visitors. Carlton Towers’ Walled Garden Vineyard features vines of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. Last year Carlton Towers Brut Rosé Sparkling Wine was awarded a silver medal in The Pink Sparkling Wine category from Wine GB Midlands and North Region. Overlooking the Vineyard, the Stables Tearoom serves lunches and snacks and is open daily.

Throughout the year the estate hosts regular events in the extensive grounds and house, plus courses and workshops including, cooking, wine tasting and beekeeping, as well as weddings and corporate launches. Carlton Towers also supports a regenerative farm with English Longhorn cattle and British heritage Oxford Sandy and Black breed pigs.
