THE BUZZ AROUND BEES
If you ever dreamed of becoming a beekeeper or are simply interested in nature and the importance of bees, Carlton Towers is collaborating with MI Honey on a series of workshops taking place within its beautiful parkland estate this Summer.
Led by local Yorkshire apiarist Cristina from MI Honey, it’s an opportunity to get an insight into the work of the hive and these fascinating little creatures, before putting on a bee suit (supplied) to visit the estate’s beehives.
A delicious light lunch platter with refreshments, concludes the experience day in the Old Servants Quarter Cooks Kitchen.
The Introduction to Beekeeping courses cost £100 per person and take place on Sunday 14 June, Sunday 19 July, Sunday 9 August 2026. The courses last half a day starting at 10am until 2pm.

Participants can take a taste of Carlton Towers away with them with Carlton Towers honey on sale from £5.50 a jar. Crafted by MI Honey Apiaries in conjunction with Carlton Towers, the honey, distinguished by its floral taste, is harvested from the Estate’s wildflower meadows. The honey can be bought and collected from Carlton Towers via the link below or purchased in person at The Stables on site.
