GOING FOR A SPIN

Get into gear for some great days out for the whole family, with classic cars, Italian sports cars, rare Japanese and modified vehicles, all being showcased against the magnificent backdrop of the Carlton Towers Estate in a series of show stopping events this summer.  

First up is Towerside Car Showcase on May 17th a new event for Carlton Towers hosted by UK car scene collaborators Sattire and Yokomuki that brings together the best examples of UK car culture in one place. Highlights include classic and rare Japanese and modified vehicles. Tickets cost £15 per person with under 13’s free.

Classic Car Days with the East Yorkshire Thoroughbred Car Club provide a nostalgic look back in time at British classic cars. Celebrating automotive heritage, craftsmanship and timeless design it is a perfect opportunity to see cars from another era. Scheduled for June 7th and September 13th, tickets cost £5, with under 10’s free.

There will be plenty of opportunity to dial up the glamour when Auto Italia Car Day returns to Carlton Towers on August 23rd with a host of all eras Italian cars lining up on the lawns in front of the house. The show of stunning sports cars will provide a great experience for fans of sleek performance cars or just a fun family day out. Tickets cost £10 per person, £5 per child under 13, with under 3’s free, family tickets £32.

Carlton Towers outdoor events are open between 10am and 4pm and can be booked via the links below or entry on the day. Visitors can take a 30-minute mini guided tours of the house (£5 per person) at selected times or prebook an Afternoon Tea Box (£25 per person) prepared by Carlton Towers’ talented chefs. (Tours and tea boxes not available for Towerside Car Showcase event) There is also a BBQ, Woodfired Pizza and Bar and the Stables Tearoom will be open for snacks and hot and cold drinks.
