Learn more about Gathered at Dusk:
“After learning more about the flower industry I realised around 90% of flowers in the UK are imported and with that comes a extremely high carbon foot print! This really shocked me and I wanted to offer an alternative.
The natural world, our planet and people are so important to me. and because of this I grow flowers aligned with nature, without the use of pesticides and chemicals. I want my customers to be able to dip their noses into their flowers.
The flower farm is a special place with as much space for wildlife as we can possibly give. Working alongside nature is at the heart of what we do. Barn owls can be seen swooping through the orchard, bumble bees buzzing around the meadow and hedgehogs scurrying around the paths. It really is a little bit of magic.
This magic inspires my floristry - creating natural, seasonal unique arrangements. The opportunity to wander around the field selecting the perfect blooms for a bouquet is the most inspirational way to work.
Our farm is in the heart of Laxton, East Yorkshire – close to the beautiful market town of Howden, just 25 miles outside York & Hull. The farm itself is set on 4 acres of land, made up of flowers, grassland, woodland and orchards.”
