General manager
An opportunity has arisen for a General Manager to join the team at Carlton Towers near the market town of Selby and historic city of York. Carlton Towers is a privately owned stately home which hosts weddings and private events, alongside a vibrant calendar of public events. The estate comprises the Grade I listed house with accommodation in 16 state guest rooms, 250 acres of parkland, a vineyard that produces an award-winning sparkling wine, holiday cottages, and the Stables Tearoom overlooking the walled vineyard.
Carlton Towers is owned by Lord and Lady Fitzalan Howard who reside in private quarters at Carlton Towers and welcome guests into their home. Outstanding hospitality sits at the heart of Carlton Towers where we aim to deliver a unique and memorable experience to every person who visits.
The role responsibilities:
To lead, inspire and develop a fun-loving and high performing team.
To ensure delight across all customer touchpoints.
To manage all hospitality services and events on the estate.
To prepare & deliver achievable budgets.
To ensure a safe & legally compliant working environment.
Skills you will bring:
Great interpersonal and leadership qualities.
A growth and solutions driven mindset.
Demonstrated hands-on experience working within a similar hospitality setting.
Strong commercial acumen.
An understanding of seasonality, and provenance.
A knowledge of Guestline is desirable.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £45,000-50,000 per annum
