our story
The Vineyard was established in the Estate’s Walled Garden in 2016/17, inspired by Lord and Lady Gerald’s lifelong passion for wine and dedicated to Lord Gerald’s father, Miles, the 17th Duke of Norfolk.
Carlton Towers is more than a cherished family home. Rooted in centuries of Yorkshire heritage, the Estate opens its doors to share its home and stories, creating memorable experiences and lasting memories through weddings, events, dining, exclusive stays and more.

Experience the charm of the vineyard at Carlton Towers. Our vineyard events bring together exceptional wines, seasonal flavours and the timeless character of the estate, creating memorable experiences for guests to enjoy, celebrate and discover.
Seasonal events include Vineyard Yoga Sessions, Afternoon Tea and Summer Dining.
English sparkling wine
“Emma and I are proud to offer you our Carlton Towers Sparkling Rosé Wine. Our first vendage was after the gloriously hot 2022 summer and it has taken 18 months to slowly craft a truly special and delicious wine. Our first 2022 vintage sparkling wine is a very special way to celebrate what the future holds.” - Lord Gerald Fitzalan Howard
Our Sparkling Wine can be purchased online for delivery, or at our Stables Tearoom. This can also be purchased by the glass at any event at Carlton Towers to enjoy.
