With 30 years experience in hosting stunning weddings in its fairytale staterooms Carlton Towers has gained a reputation for ensuring perfection in every detail. Approached along a sweeping drive this stately home stands proudly in its own country setting; it is a wonderful location for your wedding ceremony and reception whether in the house, the grounds, a marquee, or a combination of all three.
Enjoy exclusive use of this luxury venue for your wedding or civil partnership. The unique stately home features three grand state rooms, 16 bedrooms located within separate wings throughout the majestic building, a Minstrel’s Gallery, Bar, Entrance Halls and grounds. The distinctive style, decoration and atmosphere of Carlton Towers make it unforgettable as a wedding venue.
We are licenced to perform civil marriage ceremonies for up to 200 guests. From lavish glamorous weddings through to the traditional our exclusive offering can be tailored to your specific taste.
Carlton Towers is a truly beautiful wedding venue. The three State Rooms provide the most delightful ambience and span 150 foot in length. The house offers ideal backdrops for photograph opportunities, both inside and out.
Your wedding day will be organised and coordinated by our experienced Events team who will carefully discuss your plans with you and check that every last detail is in place.
All our menus are designed and created by our in-house chef, who puts time, thought and the finest Yorkshire produce into his cuisine. Carlton Towers has all the ingredients to make your day extra special.
Carlton Towers also features a helicopter landing area. For a more unique arrival on your wedding day we recommend Multiflight.
For guests travelling a distance to the venue you may wish to organise group travel. We recommend York Pullman Bus Company which has a heritage & vintage fleet (with either open or closed tops), to perfectly complement Carlton Towers, and can tailor make their service to your needs.
Venue hire includes:
- Exclusive use of the whole house
(State Rooms, Minstrel’s Gallery, Bow Drawing Room and Entrance Halls)

- A personal welcome and private onsite parking
- Wedding breakfast set up 14 Victorian Bentley chairs (for top table) and banqueting chairs
- Table linen, fine porcelain crockery, silver-plated cutlery and glassware (inc. in Wedding Breakfast cost)
