State Rooms
An idyllic wedding backdrop
Intricately decorated in Victorian design these are the three main rooms that stretch across the length of the house; the perfect setting for your wedding day. Located off the Main Hall and through majestic mahogany concertina – style doors lies firstly The Venetian Drawing Room followed by the Card Room and, finally, The Picture Gallery.
Similar doors feature at the end of each room leading into the next and can be opened to create an area spanning 150 foot or closed as required. The interconnecting rooms complement one another but are uniquely designed and appear just as beautiful standing alone.

Usually, your wedding ceremony would be held in the Venetian Drawing Room although all our rooms are licensed for carrying out civil ceremonies. The signing of the register is in the Card Room and the wedding breakfast is served in the Picture Gallery.
The State Rooms fulfill their grandiose title and can be appreciated at their best when either filled with daylight (that streams in through the many windows that line the south facing side of the hall) or in the exquisite glow of the six impressive chandeliers that hang from above.
